By 2027 , our ambition is to establish a shared understanding and approach to societal impact among organizations, researchers, and project managers enabling its integration at every stage of R&I projects. We aim to equip them with tools to assess the maturity and depth of societal impact throughout the research lifecycle.

The societal impact of research & innovation is all the consequences and effects on its stakeholders and more generally on society and on the planet - negative as well as positive - in a systemic perspective, whether those consequences are intended or not.
